The Budworth Hall is located in Ongar High Street close to all the local amenities. Three local authority car parks are available, one behind the Budworth Hall, one adjacent and the third is across the road.
The Ballroom, Concert Room and Committee Room are available for hire. The names of the rooms are a description of the original uses when the building was constructed in 1886. The ballroom has one, if not, the finest sprung dance floors in Essex. The rooms are available for private hire as a one of event, commercial or family. We also accommodate and welcome more regular bookings, weekly, monthly or to suit your requirements.
We presently hire out the facilities to local groups, charities, traders and national organisations.
A fully licensed bar is available to enhance your function, especially useful for weddings, family parties and fund raising events and the prices can be below pub prices. This takes away the worry or need to arrange bar facilities.
The Ballroom and Concert Room each have available a small preparation kitchen. The Concert Room preparation kitchen can also be used for the Committee Room.
Membership of the Ongar & District Community Association is available for a minimal annual subscription for individuals and organisations. There is members bar with a pool table and dart board, adjacent to the function bar.
Using the Budworth Hall for your event will support the Ongar & District Community Association and the local community.
